1. Who we are
This website is operated by PrithviX Technologies Private Limited, a private limited company incorporated in India ("PrithviX", "we", "us"), with its office at Incubation Centre, Nirma University, SG Highway, Ahmedabad, Gujarat 382481.
For the personal data described in this policy, PrithviX is the Data Fiduciary under the DPDP Act: we decide why and how your data is processed. "You" means any person who visits this website or gives us personal data through it, referred to in the DPDP Act as a "Data Principal".
2. Scope of this policy
This policy covers personal data collected through prithvix.in, including:
- the Register interest form for farmers, dealers, equipment owners and labour providers;
- the internship application form on the Careers page;
- emails you send us at the addresses shown on the website; and
- visit counting on the website itself.
It does not cover the PrithviX mobile app, our machinery-rental or labour services once you use them, or any third-party website or app we link to. Those have, or will have, their own terms and privacy notices.
3. Personal data we collect
3.1 Data you give us
| Where | What we collect |
|---|---|
| Register interest form | Full name; mobile number; nearest city or district; village or taluka (optional); what you are (for example farmer, dealer or equipment owner); which service interests you; and, only if you tap "Use my location" and allow it in your browser, your approximate coordinates. |
| Internship application form | Role applied for and, for the research role, the track; full name; email address; mobile number; college or organisation; year of study; links to your LinkedIn profile and your resume; an optional portfolio link; and what you write about why you want the role. |
| Email to us | Your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message and attachments. |
We do not ask for, and ask you not to send us, sensitive information such as government ID numbers, bank or card details, passwords, health information, or caste and religion. Resumes are shared as links that you control; we do not accept file uploads through the website.
3.2 Data collected automatically
When you open a page, our own server records a visit with:
- the page and section you viewed, the website you came from (its domain only) and any campaign tag in the link;
- your device type (mobile, tablet or desktop) and browser family (for example Chrome or Safari);
- an approximate location (country, state and city) worked out from your network address at the moment of the visit; and
- a visitor code: by default, a one-way code that changes every day; or, only if you choose "Allow", a random code stored in a cookie (see section 5).
We do not store your IP address. It is used for a moment to estimate your city and to make the daily code, and is then discarded. Because the daily code changes every day and cannot be reversed, we cannot use it to identify you or to follow you from one day to the next.
We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, advertising networks or any other third-party tracking tool on this website.
4. Why we use it, and on what basis
| Purpose | Data used | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Contacting you about your registration and PrithviX's launch in your area, and planning visits or demonstrations | Register interest data | Your consent, given when you submit the form (DPDP Act, section 6) |
| Reviewing your internship application, running the selection rounds and telling you the outcome | Application data | Your consent, given when you submit the form (DPDP Act, section 6) |
| Replying to your emails | Your email and message | Data you provide voluntarily for that purpose (DPDP Act, section 7(a)) |
| Understanding how the website is used and improving it, using aggregate counts only | Visit data | Data that does not identify you; your consent for the optional cookie |
| Preventing spam and abuse of our forms | Form data; network address, held briefly in memory only | Reasonable security safeguards (DPDP Act, section 8(5)) |
| Meeting legal obligations and responding to lawful requests | Any of the above, as required | Compliance with law (DPDP Act, section 7) |
We will not use your data for a purpose that is not compatible with the one you gave it for without asking you first. We do not make automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects. Every internship application is reviewed by a person.
7. Where your data is stored
Your data is stored on our hosting provider's servers and in our Google Workspace mailbox. These providers may store or process data in data centres in India or in other countries. Where data is processed outside India, we use providers that apply appropriate safeguards, and we will comply with any restrictions the Government of India notifies under section 16 of the DPDP Act.
8. How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for, and then delete it or make it anonymous:
- Register interest data: until our services launch in your area and for up to 24 months after that, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever is earlier.
- Internship applications: up to 12 months after the final decision on your application, so we can consider you for future openings. If you join PrithviX, it becomes part of your intern record.
- Emails: as long as needed to deal with your query and any follow-up.
- Visit counts: up to 24 months, in a form that does not identify you.
We may keep data longer where the law requires it, or where it is needed to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.
9. How we protect it
We take reasonable security safeguards to prevent personal data breaches, including:
- encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the whole website;
- a database that is not reachable from the internet, with access limited to our application and authorised team members;
- passwords and keys kept out of the website's code, in protected server settings;
- spam traps and rate limits on our forms; and
- regular security updates to the software the website depends on.
No system is perfectly secure. If a personal data breach occurs, we will inform the Data Protection Board of India and the people affected, as the DPDP Act and its rules require.
10. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:
- Access: get a summary of the personal data we hold about you, how we process it, and who we have shared it with;
- Correction and completion: correct inaccurate or misleading data, or complete incomplete data;
- Updating and erasure: update your data, or ask us to delete it when it is no longer needed for the purpose you gave it for;
- Withdraw consent: withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it. Withdrawal does not affect processing already done;
- Nominate: nominate another person to exercise these rights for you in the event of your death or incapacity; and
- Grievance redressal: complain to our Grievance Officer (section 14) and, if you are not satisfied, to the Data Protection Board of India.
To use any of these rights, write to madhav@prithvix.in from the email address or mobile number you gave us, or tell us how we can verify that the data is yours. We will respond within 30 days, and we do not charge for these requests.
You also have duties under the DPDP Act: please give us accurate information, do not impersonate anyone, and do not file false or frivolous complaints.
11. Children
This website is meant for adults. Under the DPDP Act, a child is anyone under 18. If you are under 18, please ask your parent or lawful guardian to submit a form with you, or to contact us first. We will process a child's data only with verifiable consent from a parent or guardian, and we do not track children or show them targeted advertising. If we learn that we have received a child's data without such consent, we will delete it.
12. Links to other services
This website links to services we do not control, such as WhatsApp, LinkedIn and Google Maps. When you use them, their own privacy policies apply, and we are not responsible for how they handle your data.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The effective date at the top shows when it was last changed. If a change significantly affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell you by email or phone where we can, and ask for fresh consent where the law requires it.
