Careers at PrithviX

Build the tools farmers actually use

We are a small team in Ahmedabad building machinery rental, farm labour on demand and Kisan Kawach, a field robot that sprays only where the crop needs it. Interns here work on the real product: parts get made, code runs in the field, survey answers change what we build next.

How the four roles work together

Mechanical and Robotics build Kisan Kawach. Research & Product Development keeps them supplied with the right parts and purchase paperwork, and finds the schemes, partners and numbers that decide where we go next. Field Research brings back what farmers need.

Why intern at PrithviX

Work on the real machine

Your design gets fabricated, your code runs on Kisan Kawach, your survey changes the roadmap. No dummy projects.

Days in the field

Test with farmers in real fields around Gujarat, not only in the lab or on a screen.

Small team, fast learning

Work directly with the founder and the build team. Ask anything, own a piece end to end.

Hardware, software and people

See how a startup turns a field problem into a product: design, sourcing, testing and selling.

Open internships

Mechanical Design & Manufacturing InternAlso known as Junior Mechanical Engineer InternHardwareAhmedabad, workshop and field

Take Kisan Kawach parts from a SolidWorks model to a part that survives a muddy field.

What you will do

  • Design and improve chassis parts, mounts and attachments (spray boom, weed cutter, seeder, carriage) in SolidWorks
  • Turn designs into real parts: sheet metal, welding, machining and 3D printing, working with local fabricators
  • Make drawings and bills of materials that a vendor can quote and build from
  • Assemble, test and fix prototypes in the workshop and in the field
  • Write down what failed and why, so the next version is better

You will fit if

  • You study or have studied mechanical, mechatronics or production engineering
  • You can model in SolidWorks, Fusion 360 or similar
  • You like being on the workshop floor as much as at the screen

Robotics & Autonomy InternAlso known as Junior Robotics InternAutonomyAhmedabad, lab and field

Make Kisan Kawach see the crop rows, drive them on its own and report back to the farmer's phone.

What you will do

  • Write ROS 2 nodes for navigation, motor control and remote driving
  • Build perception: crop row following and plant or weed detection from cameras
  • Integrate sensors such as GNSS, IMU, wheel encoders and depth cameras
  • Test in simulation (Gazebo) first, then on the real rover in the field
  • Send telemetry (position, tank level, battery, coverage) to the PrithviX app

You will fit if

  • You are comfortable with Python or C++ on Linux
  • You have used ROS or ROS 2, OpenCV, or built a robot or drone before
  • You want your code tested on a real machine, not only in a notebook
Apply for this role
Field Research Intern: Farmer InsightsAlso known as Survey InternFieldVillages around Gujarat, with Ahmedabad as base

Go to farms, listen to farmers and bring back the answers that shape what we build.

What you will do

  • Plan and run on-field surveys and interviews with farmers, equipment owners and labour providers
  • Find out what spraying, labour and machinery rent really cost across seasons
  • Record answers cleanly in our survey sheets, with photos only when people agree
  • Spot patterns and present them to the team in a short weekly summary
  • Help arrange field trials and demos of Kisan Kawach with farmers

You will fit if

  • You speak Gujarati and Hindi and enjoy talking to people
  • You are happy to travel to villages and spend the day in the field
  • You listen more than you talk, and write down what you hear
Apply for this role
Research & Product Development InternAlso known as Research Intern (Technical and Non-technical)Product & StrategyAhmedabad

One role, two tracks: technical research that feeds product building, and market and policy research that decides where we go next.

What you will do

  • Technical track: research components such as motors, batteries, sensors, pumps and nozzles, compare datasheets and prices, and recommend what we use
  • Technical track: find vendors, collect quotations and prepare purchase requests and records with the Mechanical and Robotics interns
  • Non-technical track: research government schemes, subsidies and grants, and map dealers, FPOs, custom hiring centres and competitors
  • Non-technical track: estimate market size for machinery rental and farm labour, and turn findings into short reports and pitch slides
  • Both tracks: help with product development, from writing feature notes to joining field tests and reviews

You will fit if

  • Technical track: an engineering or science background and you can read a datasheet
  • Non-technical track: any background, such as commerce, management, economics or agriculture
  • You are organised, write clearly and back up a claim with a source

How hiring works

We hire on a rolling basis: applications are reviewed as they come in, so apply early. Each round tells you the next step by email.

  1. Resume shortlisting

We read every application, your resume, LinkedIn and what you have built, and shortlist for your role.

  2. Gamified round

A short, fun round of puzzles and real farm and robot scenarios to see how you think.

  3. Technical round

A task or discussion close to the real work of your role: design, code, survey or research.

  4. Interview

A conversation with the founder about you, your work and what you want to learn. Then the offer.
